After the recent postponement of the much expected meal of Warren Buffett and Justin Sun over Sun’s health issues, the price of TRX has dropped significantly.
Besides, details of the real state of things have emerged which say that in reality Justin Sun has been forbidden to go anywhere outside China due to the current investigation of him and the Tron Foundation being involved in illegal fundraising, gambling and even pornography.
Now, the Tron CEO is making attempts to remedy the tough situation around ‘his personal brand’ and Tron.
Sun posts an apology, mentioning regulators
As reported by Coindesk, on July 25, Justin Sun published a post in which he apologizes to his followers, Tron investors, officials and regulators.
He writes he is sorry for bringing too much hype over events to do with Tron and especially over the charity meal with Warren Buffett which has been delayed by Sun recently.
He writes:
My intention of having the lunch with Buffett was because of my admiration for him and my enthusiasm for charity. It was simple, but also with self-interest to promote the blockchain industry and my project. But my immature, naive, and impulsive conducts with my big mouth have turned it into an out-of-control and failed over-marketing hype and led to a significant series of unexpected consequences.
During the whole process, I went from being excited, to worried, agonized and then terrified and regretful. … It led to a negative influence on the public and also drew concerns from regulators who care about me. Again I want to say: I am sorry.
Sun plans to reduce his media and public appearance
The apology has so far been published only in Chinese. In it, Sun also says that he intends to take care of his health at the moment and appear in public as well as in the social media as little as possible and take a rest.
Moving forward, due to my illness, I will take some rest, reduce my publicity on Weibo and media interviews. All the efforts spent on publicity stunt need to go back to technology development.
